Donna Zazulak has over 30 years of experience in a broad range of industries including media; sales; sponsorships; event planning; fashion; and retail management. She has been producing magazines and print pieces since the 1980s, and had her own fashion column in the Edmonton Sun newspaper. She has been a trailblazer, role model and champion for her community. People in general, and numerous non-profit organizations and boards, have looked to Donna for guidance and vision. Her advocacy, on behalf of others, has earned Donna many nominations and awards, including the 2006 YWCA Lifetime Achievement Award, 2009 Global Cities World of Difference Award: Community Service, and June 2011 Global TV “Edmonton Woman of Vision” award. Her “White Out Domestic Violence” campaign with Edmonton City Centre earned a 2012 Silver ICSC Foundation Community Support Award. Turning 50 was a life-changing moment for Donna. After years of emotional eating and struggles with her weight, she made a decision to shift her thinking. Realizing the importance of lifestyle, and knowing she did not want to adhere to the typical stereotypes of being “50,” Donna took steps to lose 35 pounds. She has defied anything traditional when it comes to “being in your 50s.”
